Mark Your Calendars: We’re Hosting a Listening Party on January 29th
Listening parties at Stereo Stereo are a great opportunity to socialize with your fellow audiophiles while learning more from the experts who drive innovation in the hi-fi industry. Our next listening party on 1/29/26 will feature the WADAX Studio Player and the company’s latest additions to their Studio Series, including an upgraded power supply (Studio PSU) and upgraded clock (Studio Clock) that can be used to enhance the listening experience.
This event affords the very rare opportunity to experience the entire WADAX Studio Collection in person, including the Studio Player digital streamer, the Studio PSU, the Studio Clock and the WADAX Akasa DC Reference Cables. The system will be connected by Shunyata Research Sigma X Cabling and the Shunyata Research Typhon T2 Power Distributor. We will also debuting the Shunyata Everest X Power Distributor, the finest power distributor in the world. We have also installed the Shunyata DF-SS Cable Elevation System in our reference room. This system has profoundly affected the sound in the room.

Silent Angel Audio: Audiophile-Grade Network Switches & a Roon Server
Though Michael is excited about all the new products on offer this month, he’s particularly enthusiastic about this one. Of Silent Angel, Michael says: “Through Shunyata I have discovered music with less noise in the system. Their products work and help my systems sing beautifully. However, I was not prepared for what I heard after installing a Silent Angel Bonn N8C in a modest system consisting of a Wattson Audio amplifier and streamer with KEF Reference speakers. The addition of this product literally transformed this system. The lack of network noise was immediately obvious. The texture and clarity of all the different instruments was startling. Songs I have heard thousands of times were new, with new clarity. The emotion coming from the song “Draw Your Swords” by Angus and Julia Stone was overwhelming. I stayed at the store until 11 PM to listen. I wanted to hear everything. The next day I installed the Silent Angel on a system consisting of a Bel Canto Black amplifier and Wilson Audio Sabrina V speakers. I started laughing. I just could not believe what I was hearing. The live version of Van Morrison's “Into The Mystic” from Live at Orangefield was, as advertised, live, right in front of me. The background vocals in the right channel were women standing there singing. The lack of network noise had the background so quiet and black that never before details were palpable.
We all just adore and remember those moments in our hobby when we experience something incredible. Something special. Well, I have had one of those moments with the Silent Angel Bonn. I cannot wait to share it with all of my music-loving friends and clients.”

Audiophiles will always be the heart and soul of Stereo Stereo, but not everyone wants to (or can) spend so much on a stereo system. But even people who say “record player” and “vinyls” instead of “turntable” and “records” deserve a high-quality listening experience. U-Turn is widely recognized as an excellent purveyor of entry-level turntables for music lovers with a big record collection and smaller budget. Let us not relegate our vinyl collection to the status of mere decoration. All music should be played on a good system. U-Turn is Michael’s way of stepping more toward the mainstream without sacrificing his dedication to a high-end home audio experience.
