Obviously, if you’re interested in hi-fi stereos and audiophile-quality components, you're a music fan. Seeing a concert at one of Pittsburgh’s many excellent venues is a great way to round out your trip. Michael recommends you look into these venues, with options both large and small, as you plan your trip:

This small, intimate 21+ venue is a great place to listen to live music in Pittsburgh. Featuring up-and-coming acts and interesting niche bands (Jimmy Buffet jam band tribute, anyone?), Club Cafe is a laid-back option for an impromptu night of music while you’re in town.

Benedum Center: Downtown Pittsburgh

One of the premier venues for national acts in Pittsburgh, catching a show at the Benedum Center may take a bit more planning than the smaller venues on this list. Like many such buildings in Pittsburgh, this venue showcases the city’s Gilded Age history with beautiful, ornate decor, included massive beaded chandeliers.

Heinz Hall: Downtown Pittsburgh

If you’re a fan of orchestral/classical music, look into events at Heinz Hall while you’re in town. Heinz Hall is the home of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The venue hosts other big-ticket events, including non-orchestral music acts and stage shows that can provide some fun and entertainment.

Pittsburgh makes no secret of the fact that America’s most famous and influential modern artist was born here, celebrating him in myriad ways. The Warhol Museum is the best place to go if you want to learn more about his work, including seeing lesser-known pieces you may not recognize.
