First things first: everyone is welcome at Stereo Stereo. You don’t have to be an audiophile to feel comfortable and respected here. We provide helpful service without judgement, always. There’s no such thing as a stupid question here.
Quality is another primary element of Stereo Stereo’s mission. We carry the best audio equipment available, from record players (aka turntables) to a complete stereo system with high-end speakers. Our products will help you and your loved ones experience music like you’ve never heard it before—so much better than the tinny sound you get from cheap Bluetooth speakers and earbuds.
We offer a unique shopping experience in an age characterized by sight-unseen online purchases. You’ll get to touch, see and hear anything you buy from us, and we’ll be by your side to help make a decision about what to buy. Our Pittsburgh-area showroom features a wide range of products on active display that our owner, Michael, will personally demonstrate for you in order to help dial in exactly what you need. Surprising someone you love with a new record or a complete stereo system can feel like a big swing, but with Michael by your side, you’ll feel confident that you’re making the right choice.
We offer 1:1 consultation appointments for customers who want to discuss their options or learn more about what we offer before making a purchase. Consultations are held at our beautiful Pittsburgh-area showroom in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. We’ll be honest: our products aren’t the most affordable personal audio options available. “Cheap” has two meanings, after all. It can mean something that doesn’t cost a lot of money, but it can also mean something that is poorly made and not of high quality. When it comes to audio equipment, “cheap” often means both things at once.
Still, you don’t have to be Milburn Pennybags to find a great gift here. We have an in-store record shop where you can purchase a vinyl record for under $100. You can also work with Michael to get a complete high-end record player setup at an entry-level price (under $3,000)—it's the perfect gift for vinyl collectors who don't have any way of listening to their records!
This excellent and efficient system includes the following components:
A pair of high-end floor-standing speakers from Wharfedale
An excellent turntable from U-Turn Audio, a perennial industry favorite for vinyl collectors that comes in a variety of colors (we carry Walnut ready to take home, or we can order you the color of your choice)
A streaming amplifier from Eversolo that is easy to use and makes music sound great, whether you're playing a record or using a high-resolution streaming service. It's a level of quality and simplicity that Bluetooth cannot achieve.
For anyone who doesn't have a record collection and isn't interested in collecting vinyl, this system is available with just the speakers and the streaming amp (no record player) for about $2000.
Of course, if you are looking to spend more, we can accommodate that preference as well. We carry top-of-the-line stereo components from renowned prestige hi-fi brands like Wilson Audio, Rega Research, Silent Angel and WADAX. In some cases, like with Rega Research's turntables, we have an entire product line on demonstration in the showroom so you can test out different models and decide what's best for your gift.

We don’t sell any wireless audio products.
What? Why?
Two reasons: audio quality and listening experience.
Wireless technologies are lightweight and highly portable, and that’s convenient. But they don’t deliver high-quality sound. Even the best Bluetooth speakers and earbuds can’t deliver the highest-quality sound. That’s because the information that gets sent to Bluetooth is compressed, which means part of the information from the original file won’t make it from the player to the speaker. If you just want to listen to something to distract you while you’re working out, or listen to a podcast while you do the dishes, Bluetooth is useful. But if you want to really immerse yourself in something—a favorite album, or the soundtrack to a video game or movie, you need to use a wired speaker or headphone. And not just any wired audio product will deliver that kind of listening experience.
To be able to fully focus on just one thing is a luxury. And there are few things that are as satisfying to focus on than the music that moves you. If the person you’re shopping for is busy, if they don’t get enough time to themselves, a new record or a complete stereo system is a great way to show them how much you appreciate all their hard work and want to give them some personal space to relax. We can’t clear a busy schedule or permanently cure stress, but we can help you provide some space to breathe and enjoy great music.
